LEON LEGACY FUND

Bruce and Cheryl LeonBruce and Cheryl Leon grew up in families that value giving back to their communities. Throughout the years, their journey to Orthodox Judaism took on many twists and turns. Since the beginning of their married lives, they have participated in many boards and committees. A number of special people and organizations are responsible for helping them arrive to where they are today: living in, and being a part of, one of the best Jewish communities in the world. Their long-term goal was to always to “pay it forward” whenever they had the opportunity to do so.

The Leons live in Chicago with their four daughters, and are blessed to have many grandchildren.

A fifth-generation Chicagoan, Bruce founded TandemHR in 1997. TandemHR is a PEO focused on small and mid-sized businesses primarily in the Midwest, assisting them to grow and compete with national players within their respective industries. Bruce started with two employees and grew TandemHR into the largest outsourced HR provider in the Midwest. In 2021, TandemHR partnered with Shore Capital Partners to further support the company’s growth.

Bruce’s love of entrepreneurship carries over to the Leon Family’s philanthropic work as they mentor and support small and minority businesses in Chicago and in Israel. The Leons bring a passion for social justice and share a desire to address income inequality to contribute to a thriving and equitable city. They believe businesses have a responsibility and an opportunity beyond profit generation to support their employees and the communities they serve.
